Yamaha’s new A-U671 Digital Amplifier is one
of the new breed of amps built for our age with
a focus on making digital sources – especially
high-resolution sources – sound as good as possible.
The amplifier uses PWM (Pulse Width Modulation)
with an extremely simple circuit configuration to provide
both natural, uncoloured sound quality as well as
high efficiency. It has a single rear USB input and one analog input,
with speaker and subwoofer outputs. Output power is a healthy 70W per channel.
High end digital processing
The USB D/A converter is the 32-bit
high-performance SABRE 32 from ESS Technology,
and its USB device controller IC is the latest product
from XMOS, the semiconductor firm. It is compatible with native playback of the
DSD 5.6MHz (DSD128) format or 384kHz/32-bit playback.
Supported formats are: MP3, WMA, MPEG4, AAC, WAV,
FLAC, AIFF, ALAC, DSD – 192 kHz / 24bit;
96 kHz / 24 bit; 5.6 MHz

來控制功率, 讓電能轉換的效率提高, 幾乎90%的電能
都會輸出到音箱之中, 聲音就自然是澎湃有力,
